NOW ACCEPTING VIDEO AUDITIONS
FOR BRISTOL RENAISSANCE FAIRE’S 2022 SEASON!
We are searching for:
- High Profile Theme Characters and Understudies*
- Singers, dancers, and instrumentalists
- Unique and engaging street characters/townspeople for placement across a wide range of areas, including specialty casts such as RenQuest and Pub Crawl
- History-based characters such as Yeomen of the Guard, Elizabethan militia, and members of the nobility’s household
Audition reels must include:
- Two contrasting monologues (no longer than 45 seconds each). One must be shot at full body-length range and one at head/torso range.
- 16 bars of a song, sung a cappella
- If you are proficient with a period-appropriate instrument, please include a short sample.
- If you would like to be considered for a movement-based role (dance/non-human characters), please also include a movement sample
* Rare Casting Opportunity! Those who wish to be considered for High Profile Theme Characters and/or Understudies must also include a demonstration of familiarity with and easy command of Elizabethan dialect in their audition video.
In-person callbacks may be requested for those under consideration for specialized roles.
(We will continue to accept audition videos throughout the Spring for any remaining roles.)
Submission Notes:
- Your audition video must be uploaded to the viewing platform of your choice, and a private viewing link provided. (YouTube, for instance, allows videos to be shared only with the party with whom you share the link.)
- You will also need to submit a resume and headshot (this is a reference photo necessary for the casting process and does need to have been professionally taken).
